Letitia James Faces Federal Bank Fraud Indictment

A national judicial panel has charged the New York attorney general for bank fraud this past Thursday, per a person familiar with the matter.

Lindsey Halligan personally presented the case before the judicial panel this Thursday, as reported.

US attorneys seldom appear before a grand jury.

Halligan took over as US attorney last month following the president became frustrated with the pace of inquiries involving adversaries.

This step is the president’s latest effort to utilize the DOJ to punish political rivals.

It comes 14 days after Halligan secured charges involving Comey.

Long-serving lawyers prepared a memo for that matter outlining the reasons charges were not warranted.

Comey denied the charges on Wednesday.
